Sko1 plays a key role in the control of gene expression by osmotic and oxidative stress in yeast. We demonstrate that the decrease in chronological lifespan (CLS) of hog1Î cells was suppressed by SKO1 deletion. sko1Î single mutant cells were shown to have a longer CLS, thus implicating Sko1 in the regulation of their CLS.
